How does Movingvoice work for you?
As someone who works with the voice therapeutically, I explore the roots of what blocks your ability to speak up or to sing out. I help you identify and shift the habits that prevent you from realizing the potential of your natural voice.
In every session, I help you develop tools to access more of who you are. I guide you into connection with the joy, freedom and power that await you in your voice, whether you want to sing, express yourself creatively or reconnect with the essence of who you are.
To free your voice, I help you build awareness and flexibility in your whole body because it is the vessel for the voice. The physical habits that you develop to protect your vulnerability — a shallow breath, a tense jaw, or locked knees, for example — can prevent your voice from having the vibrancy and power you seek.
I teach mindfulness as a tool to direct your attention inward and towards your present experience. I work with breath, posture, projection and more. But most importantly, I work to identify what’s in your way, and help you to claim your voice.
